Pacific Northwest Boat Racing Association

Pacific Northwest Boat Racing Association (PNBRA) was created in January of 2023. PNBRA is the combination of the 3 former inboard clubs that were based in Washington; Seattle Drag and Ski (SD&S), Seattle Inboard Racing Association (SIRA), and Tacoma Inboard Racing Association (TIRA). Being around for decades the 3 clubs all have a rich history here in the Pacific Northwest. The 3 clubs have always worked closely together putting on their respective races. In November of 2022, the 3 Commodores; Brion Lenny Baker of SD&S, Matt Yarno of SIRA, and Kip Brown of TIRA decided to put in a vote in a general meeting to disband their clubs and combine to be one club. The vote was passed. The name was chosen to be broad enough to include different categories of racing; Inboard, Vintage, and OPC. 3 members from each of the clubs volunteered to be the 9 board members of the new club: David Cossete, Austin Eacret, Steve Compton, Mike Waters, Stephan Aird, John Reifel, Bob Schellhase, Jade Deatherage, and Julliet Livingston. Of "The 9", 4 members volunteered to take office positions; David Cossete as Commodore, Austin Eacret as Vice Commodore, Julliet Livingston as Secretary, and Steve Compton as Treasurer. This is the start of a new era for hydroplane racing in Washington State with tons of fun to come.
