BAKERSFIELD, CA (Feb. 16, 2021) – By implementing the Pit Pay technology, Bakersfield Speedway will streamline the sign-in process for teams and attendees at the pit gate starting in 2021, helping the 1/3-mile track get its participants into the pits quickly and efficiently, even at the largest events.

“With the current challenges and restrictions we are faced with in California, our partnership with Pit Pay will dramatically help with the ease of signing in and entering the pit area,” said Scott Schweitzer, owner of Bakersfield Speedway. “We look forward to starting the 2021 season using the Pit Pay app.”

Pit Pay provides its users – racers, crew members and other attendees – with a simple, hassle-free experience in the app and at the track. Pit Pay customers can quickly and easily purchase pit passes for their entire team and e-sign waivers in advance using the app, providing a contactless experience.

Once they arrive at the track, users proceed directly to the dedicated Pit Pay check-in area, present the mobile pit pass on their device and receive their armband or credential, saving valuable time standing in line, signing waivers and exchanging cash or cards. The Pit Pay app safely and securely stores credit card information and users’ favorite tracks and series to make purchasing a pit pass – or pit passes for their whole team – as simple as a few clicks on their mobile devices.

“We are thrilled to have Bakersfield Speedway join the Pit Pay family this season,” said Frank Bolter, founder of Pit Pay. “We are passionate about improving the experience for both competitors and event attendees. Pit Pay implements a contactless waiver signature and payment system for pit entry and helps minimize lines, which is more critical than ever in the current environment.”

To use Pit Pay, you can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, create a profile, and purchase passes for Bakersfield Speedway events, signing all waivers electronically. At the track, simply proceed to the Pit Pay Priority Line, show your mobile pit pass, and get an armband. You can buy passes for your whole team or group on the Pit Pay App.

The historic Bakersfield Speedway is a 1/3-mile, high-banked, clay oval that has been home to auto racing in Bakersfield, CA since May of 1946, making it one of the oldest continuous operating racing facilities on the West Coast.
